5 reasons to celebrate Thanksgiving with us

Mommy, it’s (almost) oveeerrrrr! There are only two home games left to th 2018 season, ALREADY. The football season goes by way too fast.  Thankfully, Monday will be the perfect day to come watch your Alouettes at work. Why? The following five reasons should be enough to convince you. Short and sweet.

  1. It’s Family Day!

Generosity, perseverance, good manners, football rules… all things you must teach your offspring. We’ll help you out with that last one with $5 kids tickets and a 50% discount at the in-stadium and online stores on everything you need to get your aspiring fans geared for the game.

Even mascots Chase and Marshall from the Paw Patrol, Toopy and Binoo, the Ninja Turtles and, of course, our good friend Touché, will be joining the party! The little ones will be thanking you for a long time.

  1. Thanksgiving and Football Go Hand in Hand

That’s what you do on Thanksgiving; you eat (a lot) and you watch football with the fam (good thing it’s Family Day, right!?). We didn’t make it up, it’s a tradition! Come early to take advantage of the tailgate or go all out and get your seats in our All-You-Can-Eat section.

There won’t be any turkey on the menu, but we promise your belly will be just as full as if you spent the afternoon at granny’s.

Thanksgiving is also about, well, giving! On Monday, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, the wives and girlfriends of our players will be conducting a hygiene supply (unused and unopened, of course) drive for the women’s shelter Chez Doris at the tailgate. Unused, unopened of course. A great opportunity to help those in need!

  1. Johnny Manziel is Finding his Groove

Did you see Johnny’s first CFL TD pass? You missed it? Say whaaaat?! It’s OK, here it is. We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the awesome trick play that got us all riveted last Sunday.

Decidedly, our starting QB seems to have found his rhythm and is getting better at reading defences. You could watch that video over and over again, or you could opt for the cool thing to do and come see him play in person.

  1. Montreal Was Never a Good Place for a Stampede

Interestingly, the one team we tend to give a hard time to when playing at home is Calgary. The powerful West Division team may crush most of its opponents, it often bites the dust in Montreal. Ex-Stampeder Tommie Campbell even told us: “You can never underestimate Montreal, especially with the fans yelling at you in French. It’s something else.”

You make noise. We make points. Deal?

  1. It’s the Best Way to March Into the Work Week

Speaking of noise… You won’t be the only on making some! An actual marching band will be performing at half-time. The Thanksgiving spirit, a marching band, football… Feels like a Hollywood rom com. But no, you’ll be at the foot of the mountain, with us, to end the weekend with a bang and with the fam, of course. See you there!
