Launch of the 26th edition of the Together at School Program

Montreal, March 19, 2024 – The Montreal Alouettes invite members of the media to attend the launch of the 26th edition of the Together at School program on Monday, March 25 at 11:15 a.m. ET at Édouard-Montpetit high school in Montreal. Created in 1998, this community program promotes perseverance by supporting high school students and motivating young people.

500 students from the sport-études program will be on-site. Louis-Philippe Bourassa, Alexandre Gagné, Marc-Antoine Dequoy, Jamar McGloster, and Alouettes mascot Touché will also participate in the event.

“Our Together at School program is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. For 26 years, our players have been reaching out to thousands of young people across Quebec with the aim of forging ties and reminding them of the importance of perseverance in each of their careers, while telling them some of the life experiences that have shaped the men they have become”, says Mark Weightman, Montreal Alouettes president and CEO. “All of these stories inspire our youth to believe in their dreams and persevere through the challenges. That is the essence of this program.”

Our partner, Beneva, is also contributing to the program this year, aimed at fostering academic perseverance and well-being, by providing each school with a banner.

It should be noted that each school visited will be able to attend an Alouettes game during the 2024 season. Two students per school board that will have distinguished themselves during the year will be awarded a scholarship of $500.
