5 reasons to come to the East Semi-Final

The first real must-win game of the year is coming up on Saturday, as the Montreal Alouettes will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Division Semi-Final for the second year in a row. The Als managed to come away with a 28-17 win over the Ticats last year.

Make sure you’re in attendance at Percival Molson Stadium this weekend. If you don’t have your tickets, you can purchase them right here.

There are many reasons to come to the game:

1 – Biggest game of the year:

No matter what happens, this will be the final time the Alouettes will play at home in 2023. It’s the playoffs, so the players and coaches need your support more now than ever. Last year, the home crowd was rocking during the East Semi-Final and that led to the Hamilton offensive line taking three illegal procedure penalties during the game because they couldn’t hear the quarterback’s instructions at the line of scrimmage. We need your help again this year! Show up and make some noise when our defence is on the field!

The players and staff have worked hard all year to be able to host a playoff game, and they were able to accomplish that by finishing with an 11-7 record.

2 – Pre-game tailgate:

When you attend an Alouettes game, you don’t need to just show up for kick-off. Arrive early! Come and have some fun at our pre-game CKOI tailgate which begins at 12:30 pm on Saturday. You can purchase food and drinks on site, or you can bring your own food and grill it on the BBQs we provide for you on-site.

Are you bringing children to the game? The tailgate is the perfect spot for you! We’ll have games and inflatable bouncers for kids in the park.

We’ll also have several Quebec sports celebrities in attendance, including some VERY famous Alouettes alumni.

Don’t miss it!

3 – Team Photo Giveaway:

We have another giveaway going on for this special occasion! The first 5,000 fans through the door at Molson Stadium will receive an official Montreal Alouettes 2023 team picture! Make sure you arrive early, so you can get your hands on one!

4 – Concerts:

Not only will you get to watch a football game if you come to Saturday’s game, but you’ll also get TWO concerts!

Raffy will be performing at our official tailgate right outside the stadium, while JoshUa2 will be covering some of U2’s greatest hits during our halftime show!

5 – Road to Grey Cup:

The Als are three wins away from winning the Grey Cup and the journey starts on Saturday.

In order to reach the Grey Cup in Hamilton, Ontario this year, we’ll need to take down the Ticats this weekend and the Toronto Argonauts the following weekend. The job won’t be easy, but if someone is going to do it, why can’t it be us?

The Alouettes are looking for their eighth Grey Cup title in franchise history, and their first since 2010.

This year’s team reached the 11-win mark for the first time since 2012. Why not go after the big prize, too?
