The Alouettes restructure their business operations

The Montreal Alouettes announced Wednesday that the organization proceeded with a reconstruction of its business operations, allowing for a better synergy and capacity to build scale within its units.

“As we mentioned earlier this month at our end of the season press conference, this franchise clearly needs to redefine and develop itself on foundations that we believe are present and strong. I fully trust that Kavis Reed and his staff will deliver on their end of the bargain,” declared Alouettes President and CEO, Patrick Boivin. “On the business side of things, we need to reinvent the way we connect with our fans, engage a new generation to our unique stadium experience, reposition our brand with Montrealers and root ourselves back into the development of our sport across the province. These changes have been made to ensure we reach our ambitions in 2018 and beyond.”

Paul-André Côté has been named Vice-President of Integrated Marketing and Partnerships. Starting on December 11, he will lead this new integrated department bringing together content and digital marketing, events, merchandising, grassroots and partnerships. With more than 20 years of related experience at sports and entertainment institutions such as le Cirque du Soleil, the Montreal Canadiens, the Serdy group and Sportscene in addition to key roles with Cossette and most recently Opération Enfant Soleil Paul-André has a proven track record of astutely developing experience-based marketing engagement platforms that also have a crucial corporate value for partners.

Louis-Antoine Paquin will join the organization as Vice-President of Communications and Community Relations. He brings his corporate communications, community and government relations experience acquired over the last 15 years with Tennis Canada, CN and most recently with SNC-Lavalin to the Alouettes. He will join the organization on January 8, 2018.
