Alouettes sign Beaulieu-Richard

MONTREAL – The Alouettes announced on Sunday that the club has added non-import linebacker Jonathan Beaulieu-Richard to the team’s practice roster.

Beaulieu-Richard (6’1”, 215 lbs.) signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this spring and was added to their practice roster following training camp. The former University of Montreal product amassed 180.5 defensive tackles during his five seasons with the Carabins. In 2012, under defensive coordinator Noel Thorpe, the 24-year-old cumulated 43.5 tackles, including 34 solo tackles, on his way to being named to the Quebec Conference all-star team.

The Alouettes also announced that non-import defensive tackle Josh Symons is back with the team. Last year, with the University of Calgary Dinos, he made 33 defensive tackles.
