Receivers coach


Born in San Fransisco California, Jason Tucker started his coaching career with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2009. That year, wide receiver Fred Stamps led the CFL with 1,402 receiving yards. In 2012, he joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The following year the team won the Grey Cup and his receiver group included three 1,000-yard receivers for only the second time in franchise history. A couple of years later, Tucker joined the Tennessee Titans for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

In December 2017, Tucker joined the Alouettes coaching staff as the receivers coach. He played for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. During that
time, he amassed 1,197 yards in 78 receptions, for an average of 15,3 yards per catch and a total of five touchdowns. Drafted in the sixth round by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1998, he started his professional career with the Dallas Cowboys, playing with them in 1999 and 2000.

During those years, he totaled 31 games, 11 starts, 36 receptions for 565 yards and two touchdowns. His greatest success however came in the CFL, where he totaled 7,046 receiving yards during his seven-year career with Edmonton. He earned CFL All-Star honours twice in 2004 and 2005, and won two Grey Cups as a player in 2003 and in 2005. A neck injury in 2008 ended his playing career which led him to coaching.

Tucker and his wife, Giesla, have four daughters: Jaelyn, Kendahl, London and Micah.
