Defensive backs coach


In 2017, Billy Parker started his coaching career with the Montreal Alouettes as a defensive assistant coach, working closely with the defensive backs. Under his tutelage, defensive back Jonathon Mincy registered 54 tackles and two interceptions in only 14 games.

The Mechanicsville, VA native played with the Montreal Alouettes from 2009 to 2016. He was an East division all-star in 2013 and won two Grey Cups with the team (2009-2010). In 2010 he was an assistant coach with the Richmond Revolution in the Indoor Football League. The Following year, he lead the special teams and defensive backs with the Richmond Riders in the Southern Football League.

During his career, he participated in the Cleveland Browns mini-camp and in the Miami Dolphins training camp. He was also a member of the Carolina Panthers practice squad. Parker also played three years with the New York Dragons in the Arena Football League.

He went to the College of William & Mary, where he graduated with a degree in Sociology. He played three years with the Tribe in the NCAA. In his last season, he totaled 45 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
