Head Equipment Manager


James is entering his 23th season with the Alouettes, his 21th as Equipment Manager after serving as the team’s assistant equipment manager in 1996 and 1997. In 1991-92, James managed the visiting locker room with the World League of American Football’s Montreal Machine.

Two of his brothers-in-law, Gordon and Greg Batty, were equipment managers with the Alouettes before the team folded in 1987. Born in Pointe St-Charles, he lives with his wife Susan and daughter Mallory. His son R.J. whom he worked with at the Alouettes, is now the equipment manager with the Ottawa REDBLACKS.
