2015: Montreal Alouettes
In his third year with the Alouettes, Sutton dominated the CFL with 1,059 rushing yards and 1,393 all-purpose yards in only fifteen games. For the first time in his career, he was an East Division All-Star selection. Sutton led the Alouettes in scoring with seven touchdowns, five on rushing plays and two on receptions.
2014: Montreal Alouettes
In his second season in the CFL defending the Alouettes’ colours, Sutton formed one of the most dynamic running backs duet in the League with Brandon Whitaker. After missing the first six games of the season due to a foot injury, Sutton recorded 500 rushing yards and a touchdown in 10 regular season games. On 96 carries, he maintained an average of 5.2 yards. He added 190 receiving yards in 15 passes caught. He had his best outing of the season on November 2 when he helped the Alouettes clinch a playoff berth for a nineteenth consecutive year scoring a touchdown and adding 135 rushing yards on 23 races.
2013: Montreal Alouettes
Scored his first CFL major on a seven-yard TD run in a convincing 47-24 win over the Edmonton Eskimos in Week 15. He scored his second career CFL TD the following week in Montreal against Winnipeg. He got his first career CFL start on October 20 against Hamilton, carrying the ball 13 times for 84 yards and a touchdown while hauling in four passes for an additional 37 yards out of the backfield.
2010: Carolina Panthers
Played in 9 games for the Panthers. He ran for 71 yards on 13 carries. His longest run was for 32 yards.
2009: Carolina Panthers
He has appeared in 7 games for Carolina. Had 12 carries for 68 yards with a 20 yards run being his longest one. He also returned 14 kicks for 302 yards.
2008: NorthWestern Wildcats (NCAA)
At the end of his college career, Sutton led all active running backs for the most receiving yards par game with 31,1 and for the most receptions per game with 3.7. Was the 2nd all-time in school history in the career rushing yards category with 3886. Was a touchdown short from the school record.
2007: NorthWestern Wildcats (NCAA)
Had to miss a few games because of an injury but still had the time to offer some good performances. His best was against Indiana. In that game, he registered 141 rushing yards and a touchdown on 33 carries. He added 6 receptions for 72 receiving yards.
2006: NorthWestern Wildcats (NCAA)
He finished that season with 1000 rushing yards right on the nose. His best game was versus Michigan State where he got 172 rushing yards on 21 carries, including a 64 yards run. He also added 20 receiving yards in that game. He was named the team’s co-mvp for the season.
2005: NorthWestern Wildcats (NCAA)
Has been named the best freshman of the conference. Rushed for 214 yards and 4 touchdowns against Northern Illinois in his 2nd game of the season. Scored 2 touchdowns or more in 6 of the 12 games of the season. Finished with the third best rushing total in school history with 1474 rushing yards.
He was invited to the NFL combine and later signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He has also played for the Carolina Panthers and the Seattle Seahawks. He lives in Montreal and took part of the Together at School with the Alouettes program for the second straight year.
