Josh was drafted by the Lions in round three (23rd overall) of the 2022 CFL Draft.

Highlights:

2024: Suited up in a career-high 17 games at defensive end while recording 21 total tackles (15 defence, six special teams). Arch’s four sacks were good for third on the squad behind Sione Tehuema and Christian Covington.

2023: ‘Arch’ emerged from his second Lion training camp with a spot on the active roster and would record 11 defensive tackles, one sack and ten special teams stops in 16 regular season games. He suited up in both playoff contests for the second time in as many seasons.

2022: Archibald appeared in ten regular season contests in his rookie campaign, serving as a capable backup at defensive end and playing a role on special teams. He would suit up in both playoff games for the squad and recorded a special teams tackle in the Western Semi-Final win over Calgary.

College:

2017- 21: Archibald suited up in 22 games with the McGill Redmen where accolades included a pair of RAEQ All-Star selections and the Vic Obeck Trophy as McGill’s most improved player (2019). He would record 45 combined tackles, seven sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in his university career.
