The idea behind « A pass for a ticket to ride» is simple. We aim to provide children of underprivileged families with STM (Société de transport de Montréal) bus passes, to enable them to participate in after-school sporting events. Too many of our young athletes are unable to join a school sports team, or participate in an event, due to the cost of transport. We are aware of the impact of sports involvement on student success rates, and are trying to do something about it.
Our objectives:
- To provide monthly bus passes to underprivileged student athletes who train 5 times a week at school.
- To provide bus tickets to underprivileged student athletes who belong to a school sports team.
For every touchdown pass thrown this season, the Montréal Alouettes will made a 100$ donation to Les Faucons of École secondaire Dorval-Jean-XXIII.
