Name
Gabrielle A.
How many seasons with the Alouettes?
This is my first season with the Alouettes!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Montreal and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.
Since what age have you been dancing?
I have been dancing since the age of 10.
What is your dance training?
I started dancing at Studio Innova Danse in street jazz. This is my 9th consecutive year. I have been part of competitive teams for many years, in choreo/foundation and technique. I have participated in several projects, conventions, and classes, and I continue to train in dance in various ways. I now teach dance with passion.
Your profession / field of study?
I am currently in college, studying Health Sciences.
Your biggest dance role model and why?
One of my biggest role models is Sean Lew. He is an excellent dancer, but I find him particularly inspiring because of his charisma, hard work, and achievements. He demonstrates that when you are passionate, anything is possible.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, and learning new things. I also take the opportunity to spend time with my friends. I also try to make good choices for the planet!
Best advice you’ve received and from whom?
One piece of advice I really like, credited to my mother (thanks to Stéphanie), is not to listen to others to reply, but to listen to understand them.
What motivated you to audition for the dance team?
I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and improve! It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and build connections. I also believe that all opportunities are worth taking, so you should always go for it! Even if there may be obstacles along the way, that’s what makes us grow.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
I’m really looking forward to dancing in the rain! And of course, creating new memories with the Alouettes dance team!
