Name
Gabrielle A.
How many seasons with the Alouettes?
This is my second season!
Where did you grow up?
In Montreal and Saint-Bruno.
Since what age have you been dancing?
I’ve been dancing since I was 10.
What is your dance background?
I started dancing street jazz, then added hip hop and a few technical styles. I was part of competitive troupes for many years. I’ve participated in many projects, conventions and classes, and I continue to learn dance in different ways every year.
Your profession / Field of study?
I’m a dance teacher and barista. I’ll also be starting university in the fall of 2025.
Your biggest dance role model and why?
One of my greatest role models is Sean Lew. He’s a great dancer, yes, but I think he’s a particularly good role model because of his charisma, hard work and accomplishments. He shows that when you’re passionate, anything is possible.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love spending time outdoors, traveling and learning new things. I also enjoy spending time with my friends. I also try to do something good for the planet!
Best advice you’ve received and from whom?
One piece of advice I really like, which comes from my mother (credit to Stéphanie), is not to listen to others in order to answer them, but to listen to them in order to understand them.
What motivated you to audition for the dance team?
I wanted to relive unforgettable experiences and grow as a dancer! It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new connections. I’d like to take this opportunity to add that I think you should always go for it and grab opportunities when they come along.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
Making new memories with this great team and having a great Grey Cup!
