Defensive Assistant Coach

2017 – Following a brilliant eight-year career in the Alouettes secondary, Billy Parker will bring his knowledge of the game to the Alouettes coaching staff, as he will be the new Defensive Assistant Coach.

Parker has an impressive background of football experience as he played professional football in the NFL as well as in the Arena Football League before making his mark in Canada. He played for the New York Dragons before coming to Montreal.

He already possesses coaching experience, as he also coached the Richmond Revolution in the Indoor Football League, as well as the Richmond Raiders of the Southern Indoor Football League, where worked closely with teammate Alan-Michael Cash.

The consistency, work ethic and leadership that Parker showed throughout his entire career in Canada allowed him to become a very dominant player and a key component to the Alouettes successes over the years.

The two-time Grey Cup champion with the Alouettes in 2009 and 2010, was named to the East Division All-Star team in 2013. The 35-year-old coach was a starter for all 129 games he played for the Alouettes, cumulating 336 defensive tackles, 14 interceptions, while registering 53 knockdowns.
