Bianca

Name
Bianca
How many seasons with the Alouettes?
2nd season
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Laval
Since what age have you been dancing?
I’ve been dancing since I was 5.
What is your dance background?
My dance training is varied. Right from the start, I took ballet, jazz and hip hop classes. Then I took classes in lyrical/contemporary, tap and strret jazz. At the age of 10, I started competing in troupes. Then I had the chance to do several dance contracts, such as Star Académie, Chanteurs Masqués, dancing for Math Duff’s show at the Bell Centre and now for a second season, I’m part of the Alouettes Dance Team.
Your profession / Field of study?
I’m a master’s student in Molecular Biology. I’m also a dance teacher.
Your biggest dance role model and why?
My dance role model is Brian Friedman. His commercial style is one of my favorites. Having already taken a choreographic class from Brian Friedman, I love his ideas and the way he teaches. What’s more, the dance contracts he has obtained with several artists make him a real role model for me, showing that anything is possible.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like everything to do with art, and I also like to read when I have the time.
Best advice you’ve received and from whom?
“If it were that easy, everyone would do it.“
What motivated you to audition for the dance team?
When I was 10, I was part of the mini-alouettes, which motivated me to try the audition last year. After the REAL experience last season, I knew I wanted to go through it all again.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
I can’t wait to relive the magic of being on the field with the dance team. To have that energy that vibrates inside us when we take to the field and the energy that the spectators give us.
