An Inspiring Journey at Just 22 Years Old

Hannah Booler will finish her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Concordia University by the end of April. In a few weeks, she will have the opportunity to work at the Montreal Alouettes’ training camp in Saint-Jérôme with the team of therapists and strength coaches. The 22-year-old has been selected for the Women in Football program, presented by KPMG of the CFL.

Despite her young age, Hannah has an impressive resume. She played rugby for four years with the Concordia Stingers (U SPORTS), earning the RSEQ honor for her leadership and community involvement in 2024. She ended her career with the team on a high note, winning the bronze medal at the RSEQ.
Rugby is no stranger to her, as she played for two years with the Rugby Quebec team.

“I started following the Alouettes a few years ago, and my passion for football has only grown since I started attending their home games in Montreal,” says Hannah. This passion was nurtured through her university, where she worked at the concession stand during local football games. “I was there, and there was a lot of excitement for our games. We saw a great rivalry with other schools, and I wanted to be part of that,” recalls the young athlete. Her passion began while serving hot dogs during football games!

In the long term, Hannah aims to continue her studies by pursuing a master’s degree in kinesiology to work in the sports field and help athletes perform better. She has had the chance to volunteer with Special Olympics athletes, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses to better guide them. “It’s incredibly rewarding to give my time; I can see the smiles of those I help, and it also allows me to learn more about people and different areas of my future profession.” She has also worked with the men’s football team as a strength coach, providing training advice to the players during the offseason. From what she says, the young woman is eager to learn and never seems to pass up an opportunity to expand her knowledge.

The coming weeks will be busy for Hannah, who will join the Alouettes’ group in May in the Laurentians. She says she is very excited about this challenge, which means a lot to her. “I feel privileged to have been selected by the CFL program. I’m very proud and I’m going to give my all to help everyone around me and make sure we all come out better after this amazing experience.”
