The Montreal Alouettes’ traditional blood drive is back. On August 17, the Canadian Football League (CFL) is inviting people to come together – and raise their sleeves – along with players, coaches, cheerleaders and Touché, the friendly mascot of Montreal’s team.

The players :

  • Jake Wieneke – 4:30-7:30
  • Kerfalla Exume – 1:45-4:30
  • Christophe Normand – 1:45-4:30
  • Regis Cibasu – 4:30-7:30
  • Marc Antoine Dequoy – 1:45-4:30
  • Adarius Pickett – 1:45-4:30
  • William Stanback – 1:45-4:30
  • Rodney Randle – 4:30-7:30
  • Chandler Worthy – 4:30-7:30

LOCATION: Montreal Olympic Stadium – The Rotunda

ADDRESS: 4545 Pierre-De-Coubertin Avenue, Montreal (Pie-IX metro station or bus 97, 139 or 439)

DATE: Wednesday, August 17, 2022, between 1:30 pm and 7:30 pm

GOAL: Convince 100 donors to join the team to save lives.

To prevent line-ups, we have set up an appointment system. This makes the experience of donating blood even easier. Go online at jedonne.hema-quebec.qc.ca/ or call 1-800-343-7264. And if something major prevents you from showing up, please consider cancelling to allow another donor who may be passing through to participate in the goal of 100 donations.

Also please note that masks are no longer required at collection sites, and snacks are again being offered. As a souvenir, a few surprises will be handed out to registered donors, including autographed photos of the players present during the blood drive.

Want to check if you can donate?

Before going to a blood drive, you can always confirm your eligibility with Donor Services at 1-800-847-2525 or visit the Héma-Québec website at https://www.hema-quebec.qc.ca/index.en.html, under the section Donors > Blood > Who Can Donate?

Blood is perishable and cannot be kept for long. Some 1,000 blood donations are needed every day in order to guarantee an optimal reserve level and properly serve the needs of Quebec’s hospital centres. Héma-Québec is counting on the generosity of Quebeckers at this event.
