A change for a good cause…

Our quarterback is changing his jersey number and it’s all for a good cause!

Our quarterback, Vernon Adams Jr, has decided to change his number this season. To some, this might be an insignificant change, but it means a lot to our new number three.

I’m going back to number 3! The number has always meant a lot to me. I’m born on January 3rd, 1993. I wore this number throughout my career until my second tour of duty with the Alouettes. I wanted my old jersey number back!

Vernon will have number 3 on his back when the 2022 season kicks off. That’s the number he wore throughout his CFL and college careers. So, what will we do with the hundreds of number 8 jerseys that have been sold to fans? No need to worry! TELUS, the official partner of the Montreal Alouettes since 2001, is giving Alouettes fans the opportunity to exchange their number 8 Adams Jr. jerseys for his new number 3 jersey free of charge. You’ll be able to make this swap during an event organized by TELUS and the Alouettes that will take place after a team practice. The exact date will be confirmed soon.

I want to thank TELUS because they’re the ones that made this possible. For all those who purchased a jersey with the number 8 on it, you don’t have to worry. I’ll let you know when you can exchange your old jersey for a new one, and I’ll be able to sign it for you!

Change for a good cause…

This change will also benefit others. For every number 8 jersey returned, TELUS will make a donation to a Quebec children’s charity. The jerseys that will be traded in will be used to benefit the charity in question. The name of the charity will be announced shortly.

Be sure to check your e-mails regularly because we’ll be sending you that invitation in the next little while!
