Why the Alouettes…

I am a “sports fan” as they say. Hockey, baseball, golf have always been my passion and, of course, football is one of them.

Even when I was young, my wife and our parents were enthusiastic fans of Alouettes games and we still are. Having season tickets to attend games was never a question, it was a given for us. What we really enjoy, in addition to the performance by the athletes, is the family atmosphere, the camaraderie and the passionate exchanges we have with our bench mates. We look forward to the new season.

I’ve always loved the game and the team. When I was a teenager in the 1970s, especially after the move to the Olympic Stadium in 1976, my cousins took me to a game once and I loved the atmosphere. That’s when I caught the football fever. In the years that followed, I bought tickets and went to all the home games.
I started following the Alouettes again in the late 1990s. When the team moved to Percival Molson Stadium, I enjoyed sitting in the stands with my sons and nephew. We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed sitting outside to watch the game.

I became a season ticket holder because my family and I loved the game, but it was the accessibility of the players that really drew us to the team. The players and coaches always took the time to talk to me and my family and that always struck me. The experience of going to a game with my family was the best. We arrive two hours early and like to stay a few hours after the game. These are memories I will hold on to forever. The memories we have made as a family watching the Alouettes are really special to me.

We have been season ticket holders for over 25 years and have taken our children to the games when they were young. We have continued to enjoy supporting the Als with our family and friends over the years. We really appreciate that season ticket holders have the opportunity to trade in games they cannot attend. In addition, we like having the option of calling our sales representative to purchase additional seats up to game day if necessary. We love the atmosphere in our section and we always enjoy cheering on the Als. Go Als Go!
