Week 4 & 5 – Chaos and paranoia take over the house.

A VERY intense and emotional fourth week ended within the walls of Big Brother Célébrités.

As the new Head of Household, Lysanne, finds herself at the top shuffling the deck, alliances are shattered as the most strategic players take the plunge. Thankfully, our Alouette finds himself hovering over last week’s eliminations as attention turns to two of his ‘allies’ – Claudia & Catherine.

Word on the street has it that M.A.D is quite the hot commodity in the house, ”A dominant male” in the words of Guylaine, the group’s self-proclaimed mum, which augurs the best or the worst for the fate of our hero…

Let’s be clear, as long as MAD keeps his alliances healthy and strong, his chances of reaching the final alongside his beloved playmate, Hugo, are considerably optimistic… To his credit, he has been very clear from the beginning about not building too many bridges in the house, lest he not be able to support them all in the long run… a wise decision if you ask me.

A critical veto pick.

So the week unfolds and M.A.D is picked by Catherine to participate in the veto challenge ”Ousse tes cachés”; the infamous Big Brother challenge wherein the winner is the one whose envelope, carefully hidden in the house, is the last to be found by his opponents. Spoiler alert: the challenge gives way to a sequence of carnage that is 100% worth watching!

Should M.A.D win the veto, he could use it to save one of his allies on the elimination block BUTTTTT despite his intrepid defensive strategy to protect his own hidden envelope by foiling the trail with more carnage around his covert post – cut to M.A.D knocking sofas over sofas, which he describes as one of his greatest desires (Can’t blame him there) – victory goes to the Head of Household who, in the end, decides to protect Catherine from elimination and substitutes her with Michelle. The way things fall into place on their own… wow.

Michelle, who turns out to be doomed from the start, confronts Marc-Antoine to find out if she was the target all along, only to be met with a sweeping denial from our player. A rather impressive acting performance that deserves to be mentioned.

On the edge of a storm

A site of carnage, thunderous confrontations and an eviction that sees Michelle packing her bags later, week 4 ends with a bang as the first big twist of the season is revealed: the invisible Head of Household! Yes, this means that week 5 will be a mysterious one since the HOH will be donning a cloak of invisibility allowing them to pull the strings of the game in complete anonymity.

Of course, the game quickly takes a sadistic turn when Claudia, endowed with this great power, puts our protégé and her ally M.A.D up for eviction… When all is fair…

Our footballer, hungry for victory, brilliantly takes up the veto challenge but comes within a hair’s breadth of victory! To our dismay, Martin, the star player, anonymously chooses to save himself from the elimination block.

Invisibility week culminates this Sunday with Guylaine or M.A.D. facing elimination by an anonymous group vote. At this point, we can only hope that the invisibility cloak will not darken the fate of our dear Marc-Antoine to the point of total obscurity…
