Why Should You Come On Friday Night? (because We Don’t Like Toronto)

D-Day is fast approaching. Montreal VS Toronto.

From the outset, we can already tell how Montreal is far superior to Toronto;

The Queen City (we’re wondering why?) vs THE METROPOLIS!

Our fans are much more united… (Uh… why Bills jersey???? )

Their nightlife… which lacks life ( Can you really call it a nightlife when everything is closed before 2am) 😊

The CN Tower … well OK it’s high. But if you compare it to Mount Royal, our parks, our river, the old port…

In short, the list is endless and if we didn’t make it clear before, let’s repeat it; WE DON’T LIKE THEM… and we intend to show it.

Be there Friday night to win lots of Alouettes goodies! How to win? Very easy. Come show your love for your Als and especially your dislike for the Argos in the stands, and at several points during the game, the loudest and most obnoxious fans will get a chance to win game tickets and by-products! There will also be a little treat at the door for all of you…

Not enough incentives? Here are 5 more reasons.

1. We’re coming for the top spot.

Time to get our house in order, don’t you think? Friday’s game may seem insignificant to some, but this head-to-head with the Pedal Boats is quite decisive if you look at the statistics.

The math is simple; the Fishing Boats, have a 6-4 record and the Alouettes 5-4. So, if we whip the Rafts good and proper this Friday and bring home a win by at least 4 points, it will be more than enough to put us at the top of the Eastern Division.

The train is back on track, and the ride is pretty sweet. Overtaking the Titanic will give us a hell of a boost going forward and enough fuel to beat the Stampeders the week after. Thus, this event will be more of a preparatory test for the rest. In other words, it’s likely to be a heated affair on both sides, and it’s likely to end in another close score! We don’t hate it

2. SHILTZ MAKING BIG PLAYS!

Concluding a win against Ottawa TWICE in the span of a week, Matthew Shiltz is off to a great start in this newly acquired starting position especially considering he has only played three times in 48 games since 2017.  Honestly, orchestrating back-to-back wins is a great way to start his new saga. With a worthy start and finish, Shiltz is far from done wowing us and will be able to guide this team through the whirlwind that awaits on Friday.

3. Friday night Budweiser in the nest.

A tradition that never dies. Budweiser Fridays are the perfect event to kick off your weekend. With a DJ, entertainment and $9 pre-order beers, see you at the foot of the mountain for our fourth home game!

4. Tribute to Michael Soles.

Michael Soles was the face of the Alouettes when the team returned to the league in 1996. An incredible team player and a tough soldier, his name will forever be part of Alouettes history. That’s why we are inviting you to join us this Friday in a pre-game ceremony to honour the impact he had on the Canadian Football League.

5. It’s more than just a ball game!

Our revamped cheerleading team has prepared a very special choreography for the half-time show. Pirouettes, jumps and pom-poms will be the order of the day!

Anyway, the last time we played the Gondolas, we lost by 3 points and it still sticks in our craw. That game was an anomaly, plagued by the many penalties that we have since rectified. We now want our revenge!

It’s happening this Friday. Our Alouettes will be taking over Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets for one of the Budweiser Football Fridays that will rock your weekend right!
