We’re shifting our focus to 2021…

Over the past few months, you’ve shown remarkable patience regarding this very exceptional situation. As we mentioned in previous communications, everybody worked very hard for football to be played in Canada in 2020. Many scenarios were evaluated, and unfortunately, the scenario that was chosen is the one that we feared most: the cancellation of the 2020 season.

We are saddened by the fact that we won’t be able to rekindle with our fans, even if that would have only happened from afar. We would have loved to continue to build off last season’s success and continue to build on the solid foundations we established.

I can assure everyone that this decision wasn’t an easy one to take. We believe however that the decision was taken in the best interest of the future of this league and its teams. Our league and our team will come back even stronger in 2021. We would like to thank the players, the other organizations, our business partners, and most of all, our fans for their patience all along this process. We were confronted to a unique situation and always had everyone’s health as our first priority.

We don’t yet know what this pandemic has in store for us in the coming months, but what I know is that we will welcome you with open arms when that will be possible again.

In the meantime, I encourage you to visit our website regularly and to follow us on social media to stay up to date with the latest news about the organization. Our teams will keep working hard to create quality content as we patiently wait to see our players back on the field.

Talk to you very soon,

Mario Cecchini
President
