Alouettes’ transactions

The Montreal Alouettes announced the following transactions on Wednesday.

Players added to the practice roster:

Jason Hall (A), LB, Texas
Najee Murray (A), CB, Kent State

Hall (6’3″, 220 lbs.) returns to the Alouettes after attending the team’s past training camp. He also spent some time with the BC Lions this season. He played four years with the Texas University Longhorns. In 48 games, he registered 114 solo tackles and 60 assisted, while adding five sacks and three interceptions. The 23-year-old also made 13 knockdowns and two forced fumbles. In his last season, the Grand Prairie TX native started all 13 games, earning 22 tackles with an interception, a sack, three knockdowns, two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.

Murray (5’8″, 194 lbs.) will also start his second stint with the Alouettes after playing six games with the team in 2018. The cornerback made six defensive tackles, two special teams tackles and one interception. The 25-year-old, Steubenville OH native spent his college career with the Kent State University Golden Flashes and the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

The team also released American defensive back Marcellus Pippins from the practice roster.
