5 reasons why you have to be at Saturday’s game

Haven’t made your weekend plans yet? Perfect, let us help you! This Saturday, September 21 at 4pm, come join us at McGill Stadium as our Alouettes take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Here are 5 reasons why you absolutely can’t miss this game.

1-We’re Facing the “Best” Team in the League

OK, between you and us, our team is the best team, but, whatever, the Blue Bombers (and the Tiger-Cats who we beat in Montreal) have a record of nine wins and three losses. Their defence, featuring Willie Jefferson, Winston Rose and Adam Bighill, can cause lots of damage, while their offence is the most prolific one in the league in terms of rushing. Plus, there’s no doubt Andrew Harris is going to come in hungry after being suspended two games for traces of an illegal substance found in his system.

So far, our Alouettes have put up great fights at almost every game. There’s really no team in the league that can say it’s vastly better than us and the goal is to keep it that way! Should be an impressive matchup…

2-It’s Fan Appreciation Night

What does that mean exactly? It means we love you and we’ll prove it! Gifts will be given away throughout the night and, to show you how we feel, we even ordered two helicopters from the Canadian Royal Air Force to fly over the stadium in pre-game. All that so we can get your attention, of course.

3-You Could Become a Collector

The first 5,000 fans to enter the stadium will be lucky enough to get their hands on a special edition bobblehead of no other than John Bowman. It’s really a collector’s piece, especially considering our beloved defensive end threatens to retire every year. It’ll certainly be worth arriving to the stadium early to snag a gift and watch the guys warm-up. Pro-tip: take a walk to the Bier Garden (West side of the stadium) before the game, stand close to the fence and wait until the guys come give you a high-five. It’s a pretty cool experience for kids (and for big kids too)!

4-The jerseys are 40% off

You still didn’t get one of our dope New Era jerseys? Take advantage of the 40% discount applicable on all jerseys, personalized or not, to proudly wear our new logo Saturday at the stadium! You shouldn’t even have to cover it since the Weather Channel says it’ll be 25 degrees and sunny!

5-The Breastfeeders are taking care of the halftime show

We’ll just leave you on this song, it should be convincing enough.
