Alouettes to host Tiger-Cats in 2019 home opener on July 4

The Canadian Football League (CFL) unveiled its 2019 schedule and the Montreal Alouettes will kick off their home season on Thursday, July 4 at 7:30 p.m., against their division rivals, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

It will mark the return game of a home and home against the Tiger-Cats and mark the first opportunity for Alouettes fans to witness the team in action wearing their new home uniform. The Montreal squad will officially begin its season on Friday June 14, against the Eskimos in Edmonton.

The regular season includes four Friday home games as a part of the Friday Football series that was greatly appreciated by the fans last season. $7 Budweisers and a special musical atmosphere will continue to be a part of this series.

New in 2019, the Alouettes will play four home games on Saturdays, which was an option preferred and requested by many fans in a survey that was sent to them.

Division rivalries will mark the start and end of the season, as the Alouettes will face Ottawa and Hamilton in three of their first four games, while they will play three intra-division games against Toronto, Ottawa and Hamilton to close off the regular season.

As was the case in 2013, the Alouettes will return to Atlantic Canada, as they will face the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday, August 25 at 7:30 p.m. More details regarding this game will be unveiled in January.

CFL training camps will begin on May 19 and Alouettes fans will have the opportunity to see their favourite players at work for the first time on Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m., as the Ottawa REDBLACKS will be visiting for a preseason game.

Tickets for the home opener will be available as of Friday February 1, during the MontreALS launch event. Season memberships, starting as low as $ 19 per game, as well as Flex packages are already on sale at www.MontrealAlouettes.com or at 514-787-2525. Several interesting options are available to football fans, including the All-You-Can-Eat Section (memberships available starting at $37 (adults) and $26 (kids) per game) and the BBQ Terrace. A new Family Zone has been created and kids aged 16 and under will be able to access it for as little as $5 per game when accompanied by an adult.
