Alouettes sign kicker Félix Ménard-Brière

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the club has added national kicker Félix-Ménard-Brière to the practice roster. The 25 years-old athlete was drafted 34th overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2017 CFL Canadian Draft. Most recently, he was a member of the Ottawa REDBLACKS practice roster.

Ménard-Brière (5’11”, 179 lbs.) played for the Université de Montréal Carabins at the collegiate level. In May 2017, the Sainte-Agathe-Des Monts, QC native was invited to a rookie camp of the New York Giants.

In 2017, he was elected a second team all-Canadian and finished the season with an average of 45 yards per punt. That same year, he beat a team record for most career punting yards with the Carabins with 12,403. In 2016, he was voted an All-Canadian on special teams and in 2014, he lifted the Vanier Cup at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium.
