Alouettes sign quarterback Justin Holman and receiver Cameron Posey

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Friday that the club has signed international quarterback Justin Holman as well as receiver Cameron Posey.

Holman (6’4”, 225 lbs.) took part in the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamp in 2017 following his collegiate career with the Central Florida University Knights. In 32 games with the Knights, the 23-year-old completed 395 of his 739 passes good for 4,916 yards and 34 touchdowns. Holman also stretched series thanks to his speed as he rushed for 494 yards on 202 carries, including five majors.

The Tuscaloosa, AL native had his best season in 2014 when he was named the Knights offensive player of the year after completing 223 of his 494 passes good for 2,952 yards and 23 touchdowns. He threw a touchdown pass in all the 13 games he played in that season.

Posey (6’1, 192 lbs.) played three years with the Purdue University Boilemaker in the NCAA. In 35 games, the 24-year-old receiver from Boca Raton, FL caught 71 passes for 740 yards and five majors. He spent some time with the Los Angeles Chargers. In 2017, he was invited to the Carolina Panthers minicamp.
