The Alouettes will hold their 2018 training camp at Olympic Stadium

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Friday that their 2018 training camp will take place from May 20 to June 9 at Olympic Stadium, on the indoor and outdoor football fields. It will be the first time that the team holds its camp in this facility.

General Manager Kavis Reed as well as new Head Coach Mike Sherman and his assistants will evaluate close to 90 players during that period.

We are happy to have the camp in Montreal. It will help us connect with our fans by allowing them to come watch our practices,” said Reed. “Our players have been training extremely hard in the past months, so we expect the competition to be strong. We are really excited to get started.”

All practices during training camp will be open to the public and free of charge. The 2018 training camp schedule will be available at a later time at MontrealAlouettes.com.

On May 31, the Alouettes will play their first preseason game in Ottawa against the REDBLACKS, at 7:30 p.m. Fans will get to see their team at home for the first time this year on June 9, at 12 p.m., at Percival Molson Stadium, as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be in town for the last exhibition matchup.

The Alouettes will kick off their regular season on Saturday, June 16, with a matchup versus the Lions at BC Place. The following week, Montreal will host its first home game of the 2018 regular season when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers visit Percival Molson Stadium on Friday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m.

Regular season games will air live on TSN and on TSN 690.
