T.J. Graham returns with the Alouettes, Okoye joins team

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Thursday that international wide receiver T.J. Graham has returned to the team after taking part in the Carolina Panthers training camp last month.

Graham (5’11”, 188 lbs.) was third round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2012 and played 47 games over a total of five seasons in the NFL, with the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and New Orleans Saints, playing a total of 47 games. The 28-year-old registered 61 receptions for 794 yards and four touchdowns while playing South of the border. Graham joined the Alouettes this past May, before attending the team’s training camp. In two pre-season games, he caught four passes for 49 yards.

‟Graham had a great camp with us. We are very happy to see him back with the team,” said General Manager and Head Coach Kavis Reed. ‟The Alouettes just brought in an important player who will be a great asset to our lineup.”

 

The Alouettes also announced that the club has added international defensive tackle Lawrence Okoye to the practice roster.

who is from Croydon, England is a former olympic athlete. He qualified for the discus final in the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing 12th with a throw of 61.03 metres. He still holds the British record in that discipline (68.24 metres). The 25-year-old then turned to football, where he spent part of NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. . In August, he took part in the Miami Dolphins training camp.

The Alouettes also announced that defensive lineman Vantrel McMillan has been released.
