The REDBLACKS got the upper hand

The coaches predicted a playoff-like game. Indeed, we could sense the anxiousness on the field, but the pressure that came with it turned out to be difficult to handle. Our Alouettes were unfortunately unable to contain the REDBLACKS’ explosive offence and, despite good efforts from the likes of Kyries Hebert, Greg Henderson, Tyree Hollins and B. J. Cunningham, the defending Grey Cup champions added another victory to their record.

Jacques Chapdelaine’s troops will have to roll up their sleeves at practice starting on Monday before flying to the West Coast to face the ferocious BC Lions. The great Nik Lewis summarized the situation quite well: “Yes, there are injuries, yes, there are problems, but we have to step up and be professionals. We have to make plays and find ways to overcome the issues.”

The offence will have to find the steady rhythm that helped the team conquer the Riders and the Stamps earlier this summer. Above all, this mid-season nervousness will have to make way for discipline and confidence… because we know this team doesn’t lack talent!
