The June 15 game: 5 reasons you should be there

After more than two weeks of intense training camp work-outs, the Alouettes arrive at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium on Thursday, June 15 for their second and final preseason game. The tension ratchets up a notch for the players who only have a few days left to impress the coaching staff. The competition is fierce, the weather is getting warmer… and if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got five other great reasons why you should spend your evening with us at the base of the mountain.

  1. It’s time to discover all the new features
Come see all that’s new at the stadium before everyone else does! The Party Terrace, the Poutine & Co. food truck, the microbrew kiosk, the Bad Monkey Popcorn tent and so much more! Take advantage of this preseason game to stake out your favourite spots, get to know the new cheerleaders or refresh your Alouettes wardrobe: You’ll be completely prepared for the regular season home opener the following week.😊

  1. It’s Father’s Day!
Celebrate your father with us and take advantage of a specially designed package for the occasion. Two game tickets and two drinks starting from $33 per person. What’s more, purchase one adult ticket and tickets for children 12 years of age and younger are only $10. We’re making it easy to have an entire family outing! 2. The champs are in town!
The Alouettes will have a good test going up against the Ottawa RedBlacks. The 2016 Grey Cup winners had some offensive personnel go down in their first preseason game against Hamilton, but this team can never be under-estimated. Brace yourself for some heavy hitting!

  1. Ernest Jackson takes on his former teammates
Seven months ago, Ernest ”Action” Jackson made the most important catch of his career, giving the RedBlacks the Grey Cup. On Thursday, Jackson will be on the Alouettes’ side of the field, ready to go up against his former teammates for the first time. This is the kind of reunion we like! We’re betting on a repeat of his exploits, but this time in front of a rocking Montreal crowd.
  2. The veterans will lead the way

Looking forward to seeing your favourites? Good news, because on Thursday big names like Nik Lewis, Chip Cox, John Bowman and Kyries Hebert will hit the McGill field for the first time in 2017. You won’t want to miss this magic moment! We know how strong emotions can be when the guys finally come home!
