VERO BEACH, FL – Alouettes General Manager Jim Popp issued the following statement regarding receiver Chad Johnson on Saturday:
“We do expect to meet with Chad Johnson and work him out in Vero Beach, FL this week. Talks did take place and have escalated over the last week.”
The former NFL star who spent 10 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals first broke the news himself Friday night on Twitter.
