Two New Canadians

Official release, Montreal – Montreal Alouettes VP and General
Manager Jim Popp announced today the signings of offensive lineman Luc
Brodeur-Jourdain and linebacker Mike Howard.

Brodeur-Jourdain (6’3″, 326 lbs.) was selected by the Alouettes
in the sixth round of the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft. He is a two-time
Vanier Cup champion in 2004 and 2006 with the Laval Rouge et Or. He was
named to the CIS first All-Star team in 2006 and to the Quebec
Conference All-Star team in 2006 and 2007. He is 25.

Howard (5’9″, 165 lbs.) was named the 2007 Mitchell Bowl MVP and
won the Ted Morris Award – given to the Vanier Cup Most Outstanding
Defensive Player – in the Manitoba Bisons’ 2007 championship win. He
recorded 47 tackles, two tackles for losses and an interception during
the season, and was a West Canada Conference All-Star. He is 28.

Both players are expected at the Alouettes’ training camp in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
