The 31-year-old continued to anchor an offensive line that allowed just 41 sacks -- good for third-fewest in the CFL. At left tackle, Bourke has been a prime example of stability through his stellar play despite the many changes to personnel, both on the line and under center.
All season long, the Windsor, ON native helped his teammates on the offensive line give Anthony Calvillo, Troy Smith, Tanner Marsh and Josh Neiswander plenty of time to find open receivers, as the Alouettes accounted for 27 touchdowns through the air.
2012: Montreal Alouettes
Bourke earned his second consecutive nomination as a CFL All-Star following a season where he was named the East Division’s Most Outstanding Lineman. The 30-year-old played an integral part on the Alouettes’ offensive line which allowed just 30 sacks, tied for fewest in the league.
2011: Montreal Alouettes
Bourke was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Lineman for the first time in his career. The Windsor, ON native's ability to protect quarterback Anthony Calvillo’ s blind side helped the Alouettes rank first in points scored, passing yards and points scored per game last season. Bourke earned his second consecutive nomination as the Alouettes' Most Outstanding Lineman and was part of an offensive line which allowed only 34 sacks, tied for the second fewest in the league in 2011. He sustained a torn pectoral muscle of the left shoulder against the Calgary Stampeders on October 30 and also missed a game vs Saskatchewan in week 4.
2010: Montreal Alouettes
He was part of an offensive line that allowed the third least quarterback sacks this season while helping the Alouettes’ offence lead the CFL in most passing categories.
