St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 7, 2008 – The following is the daily report from the Alouettes’ training camp for Day 8.

The sun continues to shine…

The Alouettes held their second full outdoor practice today onsite at the Campus du Fort Saint-Jean. With temperatures hovering around 30 degrees Celsius, the players hit the field in full shoulder pads and helmets. For the team’s second workout of the day, the hot protective gear was traded in for shorts and t-shirts.

Today was definitely the waterboys’ day to shine!

Armstead looking good

New Alouettes Jason Armstead was hot this afternoon in more than one sense, making several outstanding catches.

The Alouettes have added quarterback Chris Leak (Florida) to their roster.

Tomorrow

The Alouettes will hold two practices tomorrow, the first at 8:20 a.m. and the second at 2:50 p.m. The location of the workouts will be decided tomorrow, depending on the weather.
