PICK #5: PAUL WOLDU

Montreal - The Alouettes went back to the defensive side of the ball and nabbed defensive back Paul Woldu with their 5th round pick, 36th overall in the CFL Canadian Draft.
In only his second year with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, Woldu earned 2007 Canada West All-Star and CIS First Team All-Canadian nods.
He finished the 2007 campaign with 18 tackles, one interception and five knockdowns. In his first season with the Huskies, he earned Canada West Defensive Player of the Week accolades for his 78-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Mitchell Bowl, and was subsequently named to the East/West Bowl.
While playing at Saskatchewan, Woldu lined up alongside his brother, Peter, a linebacker.
