Montreal, Jan. 31, 2010 – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach & Assistant Head Coach Scott Milanovich will be back with the Alouettes in 2010.

“I am excited to announce that I am staying with the Montreal Alouettes,” Scott Milanovich said. “I want to thank Bob Wetenhall, Larry Smith, Jim Popp, and Marc Trestman for continuing to treat me like a member of their family.”

“We are thrilled with Scott’s decision to stay in our family,” Jim Popp said. “With all the enthusiasm coming from our 2009 championship, we’re looking forward to starting the 2010 season!”

Now in his fourth season with the Alouettes, Milanovich is in his third year as the Alouettes’ offensive coordinator after holding the quarterbacks coach position in 2007.

He managed the CFL’s most potent offence in 2009 as the Alouettes’ registered at least 600 points scored for a second straight year while his quarterback, Anthony Calvillo, won his second-consecutive league MOP award. The Grey Cup Champion Alouettes led the league in several offensive categories, while running back Avon Cobourne was tops with 15 touchdowns and registered 1,214 yards on the ground. The Als were also the only team with three 1,000-yard receivers.
