Montreal, Aug. 6, 2008 – Following a nine-catch, 89-yard performance against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week, slotback Ben Cahoon has been named the CFL’s Canadian Player of the Week for Week 6.

This is Cahoon’s second top Canadian of the week award since its inception last season and is especially impressive considering the veteran receiver missed the majority of training camp and the beginning of the season due to injury.

The Alouettes will leave tomorrow morning for Winnipeg where they will face the Blue Bombers on Friday at 7:30 p.m. (EST) at Canad Inns Stadium (RDS/TSN/CKAC SPORTS/CJAD 800 AM).
