Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager, Jim Popp, announced the signing of five new players on Wednesday. Wide receivers Donte Davis and Brennan Marion, defensive back Rayshaun Kizer, linebacker Jonathan Woods and defensive tackle James Morehead have been added to the team’s practice roster. All five are imports.

Davis (5'10'', 185 lbs.) played 11 games last season with the Hampton University Pirates where he caught 28 passes for 366 yards and scored two touchdowns. He helped lead the team to a 6-5 record.

Kizer (5’10”, 190 lbs.) rejoins the Alouettes following a short stint in 2008. During his tenure with the Als, he played in 10 games including six as a starter, recording 27 tackles. Last season, he signed a one-year contract with the Orlando Predators (AFL) where he returned for his second season with the team. He had a team high 108 tackles on the year and added three defensive touchdowns to go along with his spectacular 16-interception season.

Marion (6’1”, 185 lbs.) was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at the University of Tulsa where he caught for more than 1,000 yards in both of his seasons at Tulsa while majoring in Sociology.

Woods (6’0”, 245 lbs.) was signed by the Atlanta Falcons in 2011 as an undrafted free agent. He was a walk-on at the University of Troy and became a starter in 2008 when he finished second on the team with 108 tackles.

Morehead (6’6”, 324 lbs.) started all 12 games for the Colorado State Rams in 2009, recording 26 tackles, including five for losses and two sacks.
