Montreal, July 14, 2009 – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that Quebec-born running back Guillaume Allard-Caméus has been added to the team’s practice roster.
Allard-Caméus (6’0’’, 215 lbs) was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the fifth round, 33rd overall, of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft. He played four games with Hamilton this season, recording one special teams tackle – against the Alouettes on July 23. A two-time Vanier Cup Champion with the Université Laval Rouge et Or, he registered 1,292 career rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 274 carries in the CIS. He also had 318 receiving yards and two majors on 39 receptions. He is 24.
The Alouettes will visit the B.C. Lions at BC Place this Friday, Sept. 4 at 10:30 p.m. (RDSHD, TSNHD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM).
