Joey Abrams to leave the Alouettes

MONTRÉAL – The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that Assistant General Manager Joey Abrams is therefore stepping down from his position and is leaving the Alouettes.

Abrams, who was promoted to the Assistant General Manager position a year ago, had previously occupied the role of Assistant Director of Football Operations and Player Personnel for three seasons. He spent 12 seasons with the organization. He began his career with the Alouettes in 2005 as a Football Operations Intern and has held several different titles on his way to becoming Assistant General Manager.

“We would like to thank Joey for all of his hard work and devotion over the past 12 years,” declared Alouettes General Manager Kavis Reed. “Through his hard work, Joey helped build the 2009 and 2010 Grey Cup champion teams, which allowed him to progress to different positions within the organization. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
