Kevin Glenn awarded with CFL’s top performer of the week honour

MONTREAL – Montreal Alouettes’ quarterback Kevin Glenn was named the CFL’s Top Performer of the week after delivering his best performance as an Alouette last Friday, leading his team to a convincing 43-19 victory over the Grey Cup Finalists and division rival Ottawa REDBLACKS.

Glenn (5’10”, 205 lbs.) experienced an electrifying and flawless outing, playing like a future hall of famer throughout the entire game. The Alouettes’ pivot recorded a stellar 382 passing yards, all while managing to complete 25 of his 30 passing attempts, good for a 83.3% completion rate. Glenn connected with four different receivers for majors, racking up five TD passes. He is the first Alouettes’ quarterback to throw five touchdown passes in a game since Anthony Calvillo in 2011. The 14-season CFL veteran generated no less than 21 first downs, controlling the ball for 29:47 minutes. Glenn currently sits third among CFL’s quarterbacks with 11 touchdown passes and fourth in terms of total passing yards with 2,059.

Top Performers of the Week in the Canadian Football League are selected by former CFL players turned analysts on TSN and RDS Duane Forde, Matt Dunigan and Pierre Vercheval.

Glenn and the Alouettes will be back in action on Friday, as they host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
