Our cheerleaders are in Winnipeg!

Thanks to Red Tag Vacations, our cheerleaders made the trip to Winnipeg to participate at the 103rd Grey Cup festivities. Here are some activities that the cheerleaders will be involved during this weekend.

Visit at École Christine Lespérance in Winnipeg

On Friday, November 27th, team President and CEO Mark Weightman as well as the team’s cheerleader squad will visit the students of École Christine Lespérance, a francophone school in Manitoba’s capital, on Friday, November 27, between 10:00 a.m. and noon.

The visit will kick off with a Q&A session, which all students will attend in the school’s gymnasium, followed by a cheerleader routine. The team members will then visit every classroom where the students will receive gifts. The organization will also support the school’s Movember campaign, which funds programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Cheer Extravaganza

On November 28, from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M, if you are in Winnipeg, come out to the Cheer Extravaganza Presented by Booster Juice at the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre and watch alongside fans from all teams and Winnipeg’s own cheer community as the Alouettes’ cheerleaders team will perform their Grey Cup Festival routines. The energy, excitement and unrivaled acrobatics are something you simply have to see for yourself.

Grey Cup Parade

On the same day, on Portage Street, in Winnipeg, the Grey Cup Festival is coming to you. The Alouettes cheerleaders will be part of the Grey Cup Festival Santa Claus Parade presented by Manitoba Hydro that will wind its way through the streets of downtown Winnipeg, bringing all the action with it.
