Montreal – Following an emotional and memorable game on Sunday, Alouettes veteran defensive end John Bowman was named among the CFL’s weekly top performers.

Bowman collected no less than three sacs in the team’s regular season finale against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, which allowed him to finish the season as the CFL’s sack leader for the first time of his career with a total of 19 for the season. By registering his first sack on Sunday, he saw his career total hit the 100-mark, a select club which is comprised of only ten players. The 33-year old also added two defensive tackles to his day’s work.

Top Performers of the Week in the Canadian Football League are selected by former CFL players turned analysts on TSN and RDS Duane Forde, Matt Dunigan and Pierre Vercheval. Fans can go vote for their choice via the CFL Twitter account. Each week, the player who obtains the most fan votes will receive bonus points.
